PE Requirements

Students in PE are always required to come to school prepared to work and be on the gym floor.  It is a non-traditional classroom and students are expected to follow the same expectations as they would throughout the building.

All students are to have closed-toe, rubber soled, athletic shoes to participate in games in the gym.

Students grades 6-8 are to also have a journal that they record their workouts and SEL answers in for weekly journal checks.  These journals can be kept in the gym for easy access and to ensure that students always have their journals when needed.  If students do not leave their journals in the gym, they are responsible for keeping them with them each work day (Monday - Thursday).

• Journal checks occur on Thursday and Friday of the week work is completed and on the following Monday.  It is the STUDENT'S responsibility to ensure their journal is checked for a grade.  
• Journal checks serve as a grade and that students pass to Fun Friday.  Fun Friday is when students get to choose from a variety of activities they have earned by working to the best of their ability all week.
